About Cardiff Women’s Aid

We are Cardiff’s leading specialist service supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse.

We operate a 24/7 helpline, provide safe and secure accommodation, support children and young people who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse to process their trauma, and deliver aftercare and recovery services through our Women’s Centre, which supports survivors of abuse to rebuild their lives.

We are proud to have served the women and children of Cardiff for over 45 years, and in that time have been at the forefront of of developing new and innovative services for survivors of violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence (VAWDASV).

In 2021-22 we supported over 3,500 women, children, and young people who had been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

We know that our services save lives, but we also know that there are thousands of women and children who are unable to access the help they need. With your support, we can reach the people most in need of our lifesaving services, and continue to be there to support women and children to live lives free from the fear of abuse and violence.
